Attracting Millennials to your Workplace
Monday, March 12, 2018
We’ve all heard about the generation of “Millennials,” adults considered to be born the early 1980’s to mid-1990’s. They are a group currently entering the workforce or possibly ready to move up in their current career. Although a generation can’t be stereotyped as one way, there are a number of common themes Millennials look for in a career or job. One important topic is money. Like past and future generations, proper compensation in the form of money, is something Millennials are looking for. More importantly than that Millennials often look for a job where they can contribute to a greater good or find purpose. Most Millennials are also looking for a clear career path that includes training and the ability to move up in the company or business. Show Millennials there is room to advance and just how that might happen. Lastly, most Millennials are looking for flexibility at work, not only with time, but also with the work setting. Offering the ability to work from home or from somewhere outside the office, will be very appealing to most Millennials. Millennials are the future when it comes to businesses, so adapting will serve well for the future.
