Manufacturing Day (MFD) is October 7, 2022. Because of MFD’s success over the years and manufacturing being one of the core trade industries in America, October is also recognized as Manufacturing Month. The purpose is for manufacturers to open their doors to students, teachers, parents and community leaders in efforts to show the value and importance of its industry.

Manufacturing in Our County

Tehama County Economic Development is celebrating MFD by saying, “THANK YOU,” to all of our manufacturing businesses. We appreciate you starting or relocating here and staying to help build our community, strengthen our identity and stabilize our economy.

This year, we are shining lights on Outback Construction and QRC. These manufacturers are leaders in inclusion and diversity, good workplace practices, produce high quality products, and consistently innovate to progress their industries.

Outback Construction

In 2008, the woman-owned and led construction company, Outback Construction, started their renowned business right here in Tehama County’s City of Red Bluff. Throughout their 14 year span and counting, they have come to be known as “one of California’s leading utility construction contractors.” As their website says, “We pride ourselves on our ability to provide a complete site development package …” Whether it’s underground, on ground, or above ground, Outback Construction can get the job done right the first time.

QRC is a pioneer in the world of outlaw karts. Founded in 1985, QRC has remained a staple in the community and the choice nationwide outlaw kart designer. What started as a time-passing activity, morphed into a nationwide phenomenon with QRC at the helm. While all products are manufactured in Red Bluff, QRC has a network of dealers from California to Pennsylvania.

What is outlaw karting? According to QRC’s website, “Unlike traditional karting, outlaw karts have a feel closer to big cars. The seat, the belts, the wheel, the cage, all help to make race car safety a familiar part of the experience, almost like sitting in the cockpit of a 410 sprint car.” With QRC, you know you’re getting the official outlaw kart.

Sites and buildings are available for manufacturing companies looking to expand or relocate. California’s real estate is high-dollared while also high-valued. With California’s mostly year-round sunshine, businesses can hugely save on utilities adding solar panels. The return on investment is plentiful.

In Tehama County, businesses have the room they need to grow, access to a highly skilled, well-educated workforce and local economic developers available making it easy to find the perfect location. In certain cases, financial incentives can be applied to make the move an even better investment.

We have commercial real estate for sale. Click the link to be taken to each city’s available offerings:
