While you're driving down Highway 99E in Tehama County, through some of the most beautiful orchards in the Northstate, you will want to stop at these unique roadside farm stands.

Bianchi Orchard’s Walnut Shop

Bianchi Orchards in an 80-acre farm in Northern California, owned and operated by the Bianchi family, which produces premium Chandler Walnuts and delicious wines. The tasting room is a restored 1920's barn and shares its space with the family’s Nut Shop. Taste the local wines at the gorgeous 24-foot black walnut bar below beautiful custom chandeliers while you're deciding what flavor walnuts you're taking home. They carry natural walnuts, as well as, cinnamon glazed, honey glazed, and caramel glazed. They also feature dark chocolate coated walnuts, turtles, and prune and walnut clusters. The Bianchi’s feature products made in the surrounding areas as well so you’ll also find local walnut oil, olive oils, balsamic vinegar, gourmet dressing, jams, jellies, dried fruit and honey, all available at The Nut Shop.

If you’re in the area in May don’t miss their Walnuts & Wine Festival! Live music, food samples, craft booths and the best atmosphere you could ask for. In November, they host a “Day in the Orchard” event which includes food booths, live music, kid’s activities, walnut, and wine pairing and orchard tours.

Check them out on Facebook and stop in to be greeted with a friendly, local smile and find out what the locals love about Bianchi Orchards.

Burlison’s Fruit Stand

Another local favorite, family owned and operated since 1948! Check them out on Facebook and visit today!

Julia’s Fruit Stand

The Brandt Family has truly built this business into something special! What started in 2001 as simply planting a garden turned into five acres of peaches in just two short years. The business was started as a college fund for their daughter, Julia. They now have three children and much more than just peaches! Tomatoes, nectarines, blackberries, watermelon, the list goes on! Check them out on Facebook to find out what’s been freshly picked and is ready for you!

When you visit it’s likely you'll be greeted by one of our County's local, friendly high school students as the Brandt’s take pride in giving many of our students their first job and teaching them all about how to be successful in the workplace. If all of this goodness isn’t enough to get you to pull over and stop in, I'll just mention, they were voted “Best Local Food Product” of Tehama County in 2019!

Don’t forget to mark your hometown on the “Where are you from?” sign that sits in front of the property and has become very popular. They have had travelers from all 50 states and about 30 countries! If you’re around in October, don’t miss the Great Pumpkin Festival! Check them out on Facebook for dates and details!

Pumpkinland Chocolate Company

This may not be a “farm stand” but it’s definitely worth a stop! Satisfy your sweet tooth at Pumpkinland Chocolate Company, famous for their amazing chocolate and ice cream cones!
