Goats to be used for vegetation management at Red Bluff Recreation Area

RED BLUFF, Calif. — 1,000 goats will be used to clear vegetation at the Red Bluff Recreation Area, according to the Mendocino National Forest Service.

The goats will graze as they do naturally to demonstrate their use in wildfire prevention.

The project will not affect the camp grounds, picnic area, boat ramp or the Sacramento River Discovery Center. The goats will be contained to a 100-acre area.
