Chamber CEO Dave Gowan to lead Northern California tourism board

Dave Gowan, the CEO of the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce, was recently voted president of the Shasta Cascade Wonderland Association tourism board.
Gowan who has been on the board for nearly 10 years and has served as vice president for seven, said he is excited to assist in boosting tourism for “UpState California.”
“Dave Gowan has been representing Tehama County on the Shasta-Cascade Wonderland Association Board of Directors and the Shasta-Cascade Educational Foundation since 2011 in various executive board positions,” said Laurie Baker, CEO of the Shasta Cascade Wonderland Association. “In 2019 Dave was elected as president and has been instrumental in leading the SCWA Board with branding and marketing decisions meant to unite the whole region and tell its story. Dave’s vast experience in several disciplines is helping lead the way as SCWA navigates the ever changing tourism climate for UpState California.
